Sailors for one day

Marina Port de Mallorca and Marina Palma Cuarentena held on Saturday an open day for the little ones of the marina.

The intention of this activity was to bring children closer to the nautical world and for this, what better to do than visiting a boat, and learn how the crew lives onboard and what jobs they do inside while moored in the harbor.

We also introduced them in the world of recycling demonstrating the usefulness and impact of recycling properly at home. They learned how to improve the environment giving good use to all materials that are thrown at home and woke their creativity into thinking that any discarded objects can have a second life much better after losing the utility of the former one. To do this, we build a large pot of pallets that were left in the marina and they were responsible for planting lettuce, rosemary, thyme, mint and peas among other aromatic plants.

And how could it be otherwise, they have taken a boat ride on the bay of Palma!

We really enjoyed this special day in which the smallest were the protagonists.
